SAS150 was specified for the 41,000m² tower; five floors were fitted to Cat A standard to increase the ‘rentability’ of the space.
The commercial development has impressive sustainability credentials, having been developed in line with the US Green Building Council LEED® rating system. Manufactured from steel, the SAS150 ceiling system offers many environmental credentials. Throughout the manufacturing process waste is minimised and recycled. Acoustic metal ceilings contain at least 25% recycled content as standard and are 100% recyclable at end of life.
The suspended ceiling system was required to make a significant contribution to acoustic comfort within the office areas taking into consideration both open plan acoustic absorption and room to room privacy. In addition, acoustic flexibility for future tenants had to be considered to suit individual space-planning requirements.
