A contemporary workplace and executive reception were delivered for a confidential client at Boulevard Plaza 2 in Dubai, combining a calm, understated office floor with a high-impact arrival space.
Across the workplace, SAS200 and SAS205 hook-on systems were chosen for their versatility, durability and performance. With high-performance acoustic pads, the ceilings support a comfortable environment for concentration and productivity.
Each system follows a distinct design approach. In the reception, SAS205 panels with a Chrome Silver PPC finish create a mirror-like surface that reflects daylight and captures views of the city skyline, making the space feel brighter and more open. The system also integrates seamlessly with the lighting; housed in bespoke service troughs.
In contrast, the office areas adopt a more restrained aesthetic. SAS200 tiles in white (RAL 9010) with D1522 perforation form a clean, consistent ceiling plane, helping to create a focused workspace with minimal distraction.
Both systems also offer practical benefits. Their concealed grid and hook-on design allow tiles to be removed without tools, ensuring quick and efficient access to building services. They differ slightly in maintenance. SAS200 tiles can be lifted out individually, while SAS205 panels use a hinged system, allowing them to pivot and hang safely, ideal for protecting the mirror-finish tiles.
From arrival to workspace, the ceilings subtly shape the environment, SAS205 enhances light and impact in the reception, while SAS200 delivers comfort and calm across the office floor.
