International Women's Day 2022

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The campaign's theme for this year is #BreakTheBias, striving toward a gender equal world free of discrimination and bias, a world that is diverse and inclusive for all.

In an industry that started off as largely male-dominated, it is good to see more construction companies embracing the power and value of women as a part of their workforce. SAS celebrate this day by shining a spotlight on just a few of our hugely talented and fast-growing female workforce.

As 2020 forces design re-think, WELL delivers

The IWBI’s excellent WELL Building Standard now has worldwide recognition and many supporters, with well over 5,000 accredited projects across 68 countries to date. SAS was delighted to be involved in one of the first UK projects where the wellbeing of occupants was central to the design. 4 Cannon Street, London achieved the coveted WELL Gold Certification.

Acoustics is a complicated subject, but in an office environment, the most significant consideration is that hard surfaces reflect sound while softer surfaces absorb it. Hence the ubiquity of office carpets and fabric-covered screening.
